Re: hairloss patches under chin
Meghan, a couple things..I see you live in Denver, and so I am assuming your dealing with snow/ice. Does Tess play rough outside..like bury her head into the snow, or push toys around?? The reason I ask is because looking at those spots in the second puicture, the hair loss is all on raised areas on her chin..like she dragged her mush against something ( icy patches?? ). I had 3 of my Boxers while in Minnesota, and on occasion they would get those spots, and sometimes they would even bleed if I allowed them too much outsidetime in the cold.
I know your probably worried too about mange ( seems to be a pretty common issue for alot of the babies on the board! ) When Ashley started her D-Mange..it was one spot, and I could actualy see bumps on the tissue, which soon turned black, and the hair would then fall off. She did a WHOLE lot of rubbing of her face too, so I don't know if that is whats going on, but of course you'd have to take her for a scraping to determine that.
I just wanted to let you know though, I went through that most winters with a few of my babies, and just had to restrict too much outside time.
I hope you get an answer soon!
