I am thinking of getting an iPad and was wondering if anyone on the forum has one? Do you like it? What are the pro's and con's with them? Are they user friendly?

My son got one for my for my birthday two years ago. It's in his room and he uses it 95% of the time LOL! When I do use it, it's always to play games with. My sister barely uses her laptop now, she uses her iPad for most every computer stuff.

I've had my 16gb 1st edition iPad since they came out and will never get rid of it. I only wish that it had a USB plug/adapter.

I have a Kindle Fire and it's the greatest thing. I like it for the apps-the games and other fun stuff and for reading books.

I have it and I love it. It's portable and lessmintenance than laptops. I don't use laptop at home just my iPad.

We have 2 iPads.... Love them but when typing it sometimes skips a letter or auto corrects it to something else...

yes i love my i pad. There are some things you cannot look at or watch because it doesn't have a flash player.
Great GPS when driving..very accurate
Love reading books on here
Love Face time
Photos not so great
fits in my purse
must buy flip open cover to protect screen
typing obviously not as great as an actual keyboard

We went with a different tablet other than an iPad because of the flash component and we wanted expandable memory. The salesman we spoke with explained the differences and said if he'd known then what he knew now, he'd have forgone the iPad for a tablet as well, plus it was about $125 cheaper. I wish I could tell you what we purchased, but it's with my daughter in Wyoming right now, and for the life of me I can't remember what it is. I'll ask her when I talk to her tonight and let you know. That's gonna bug me now. LOL
