I am so glad to hear everything is going so well! at this rate she will have the cancer licked!
My prayers going to you all! Glad the Nursing home is great, I expect the costs to the insurance company are less than in a hospital, and it is a bit more of a relaxed environment for your Aunt. Great to hear she will be so close to you! |

Thanks everyone! My aunt looks great! She's up and moving around really well. We also got some more good news tonight. The nursing home allows dogs to visit with their people in their rooms. The only catch is that my aunt has to be in a wheel chair so she's not bending over. I don't see this as an issue at all! My aunt is psyched to get to see her baby (a cockapoo) again. Her roomate is bringing him to visit Saturday.

That is awesome that pets are allowed to visit. I've heard that when people are reunited with their pets it helps them re-cooperate. I hope their reunion is a good one.

Glad to hear all the positive things happening for your Aunt and it must be especially nice to finally get to visit with her, will you be there when they bring in her cockapoo?

Cindy, unfortunately I can't go Saturday. I would LOVE to be there for the reunion, but can't. I do have pics of him which I can post so you can at least see him though.
My aunt posted on Facebook again today that she's really happy there. She had her first physical therapy session and she did great. She said she would like to have done better on the exercise bike, but they told her it'll just take time. She walked up and down the stairs a couple of times too. Once the therapy was done she found out that they play Cribbage on Thursday nights which is one of her favorite games so she signed right up for that. She's also rooming a nice older lady who's just as talkative as she is so they'll be gabbing each other's ears off. LOL I can't say how relieved we all are to hear all of this. Tonight I'm calling her and telling her to pick something that she wants for dinner as carry out and my mom and I will be going to have dinner with her there. After so much hospital food it'll be nice to treat her to something good, even if it's not the healthiest. It's nice to get a treat every now and then!
