So I've had issues lately with the brat pack pulling my curtains off the French doors downstairs and I wanted to find someway to knock down the glare on the TV that the boxers couldn't pull down. With the holidays, I figured I could decorate the windows with some artificial snow and a few cling decorations.
So yesterday I cleaned all the paw and nose prints off both doors inside and out, applied the snowman cling thingies and sprayed the windows with artificial snow. I originally sprayed the entire windows top to bottom but every time I turned around, another pup was licking the snow off the windows. So I thought to myself.... Self, you need to leave an area at the bottom of the doors so the boxers can see outside. So I grabbed some paper towels and cleaned off the bottom part of the windows at about head height for the babies. That done, I was satisfied that the licking would stop and it did, but once again when my back was turned, some 4 legged baby decided to help me decorate the windows and this is what I found: ![]() Now they've added their own personal touch and I can't bring myself to fix it. Later that day, my son comes home from school and immediately has to add his own touch to the window as well ![]() Sort of difficult to see but on the right side bottom of the snowman, my son ran his finger along the glass. Sigh! Now of course I could fix it, I still have a can and a half of artificial snow, but then again, my son made the mark and just like the dog's mark, I can't seem to make myself change it. So my windows now bear the marks of son and dogs and nothing could be more perfect in my eyes. Here's the remaining pictures of my holiday decorated windows with help from boxers and son. ![]() Right door ![]() Inspecting her work. |

To cute. I would of never thought about spraying the snow like that. We have blinds at our back door. I pull them up about half way (enough for the dogs to see out) and so far we've had no issues.

So cute.... I would keep it, too... Their "input" for decorating and their loving touch...
I'm on my 3rd set of "temp shades" (paper ones from Home Depot). I had a nice set of shades, but they got ripped apart by Georgie. (Big sigh). Since they are on the door she uses to go outside, if they are not up all the way, she gets them... And since they are custom-made due to the size, I refuse to pay close to $100 to Replace them since I know she will be at this stage for a while... So, until then, paper shades it is... Maybe I will spray the outside of my door... Otherwise, I will be having paw prints galore, as well... |

I think your Christmas windows look awesome; nothing like the 'special' touches from our loved ones
