What a horrible tragedy. May the Lord comfort those families.

This is so heart wrenching ~ it makes me absolutely sick...

Honestly, I can't even bring myself to turn on the news... As a parent, how are you suppose to explain something like this to your children?

No one, especially not innocent children of any age should ever have to endure such a horrific tradgedy...

My heart goes out to all the parents, families & friends of those who were involved...

This is beyond heartbreaking! The young man had a history of mental illness and apparently killed his own mother, before going to the school and killing her kindergarten students and other adults. My heart absolutely bleeds for these families-the survivors too, who had to witness this senseless tragedy. I can't even imagine...

Just heart breaking. I work with kindergarteners almost every day.

How innocent and sweet they are.. I've been sick all day

I'm a preschool teacher and I can't understand anyone's motive for killing little innocent children! Not to sound like a creeper, but children are my life! They love you unconditionally like our fur babies! No matter how bad a morning, afternoon or evening I'm having my students can always cheer me up! Too bad we will never know his motive for killing his mothers students... Prayers for everyone involved. Mothers and fathers of human children out there, hug your little dears a little tighter tonight!

My thoughts and prayers are with the families . It's incomprehensible that some one can do this . Just too sad for words.

What I appreciate about China, though, is that they are not over-broadcasting the situation. They aren't discussing the extent of the injuries or anything. Yes, it's a tragedy, but I blame the media for giving these creeps days, weeks and sometimes MONTHS of airtime. If their whole plan is to go out in a blaze of glory, the media certainly helps them achieve it. If these attacks didn't get any airplay, some (not all, but some) would probably not even occur. We had the mall shooting here in 2007 that claimed eight lives. The coverage was endless. Apparently, the shooter's suicide note stated, ""I just want to take a few pieces of sh** with me... just think tho, I'm gonna be f**kin famous." Well, he achieved that. I think it would've been far more fitting to just shut it down and not even mention him. Sure, memorialize the dead if you feel the need, but don't EVER breathe a word about the evil SOB that caused it all. Just my two cents.
