...but it sure is white right now!!

Heading back to bed. School is canceled. Work is closed. We're butt deep in snow and it's blustery out. My poor husband just shoveled the drive and left for work. (He's dedicated.) I'm curled up under a warm blanket with my puppies.

Stay warm!! I know living in TX that we WON'T have a white Christmas. It has been years since I've seen one & I'm sure it will be years before the next one. I grew up in PA so I love the snow but ever since returning from the UK in 99, we've lived in the south. Then again after all this southern living, I don't know if I could handle snow. LOL

We're supposed to be getting something similar here tonight and tomorrow.. They are forcasting 8-12 inches of the white stuff tonight and more for Friday...

I'm excited! I love the snow!!!!! lol

We've got 4-6" predicted here and more in the lake effect bands and I live right smack in the middle of one of those so we could get more. Right now it's windy and raining and 40F, so we're in for quite a drastic change. We spent Christmas in Austin one year with my son and his family and the weather was pretty dandy, I could do winters like that.

Snow??? I can do without it! I seriously need to move some where warmer but I hate to much heat, I look like Side Show Bob. Maybe I should try Arizona? I heard there is no humidity.

Or you could get a winter house in TX & go back up to Canada for the summer. I wish I could spend a summer someplace where you don't feel like you are baking in an oven. I'm so glad my car has auto start so I can have the a/c on in it & start the car before I have to go out to get in it.

We're about 20 minutes North of Lake Ontario, just south of Peterborough, and we've got nothing! No snow, no rain, just green grass. So depressing.
I remember as a kid we had at least a foot of snow at Christmas. We'd usually get a new snow toy and we'd try it out on Christmas Day!

They're calling for rain here tonight and rain/snow tomorrow which means the white stuff won't last on the ground. Sniff, sniff.

Our new house is on an acreage and full of perfect tobogganing hills. I just hope we get some snow before the kids have to go back to school, so they'll be able to enjoy it.

We're in Nebraska. We ended up being inside the southern edge of the snowstorm. South of us down through Kansas City got hammered with rain. I was kinda ready for a big snow. We didn't get much of anything last year.

The funniest part has been seeing Honey's reaction. She's a California girl. When we opened the door last night to let everyone out, she was like, "No effin' way." LOL. I finally pulled out Sadie's old winter coat, put it on her, and bundled myself up too. I was running around the backyard like a crazy person yelling, "C'mon, let's go potty!" I think she finally figured out I wasn't gonna stop 'til she pottied, so she peed. Then I was running around yelling, "Good potty, Honey! What a good girl." She seemed mortified. Cali girls are SO prissy! LOL
