I have wanted to get a Boxer since I was a small kid. Finally, after researching and finding a good breeder, I made the leap. It has been a great experience and Knuckles has been a joy to have in my life. He has a very good pedigree and his health testing has all been good. Except for an unpigmented third eye lid on his right eye, he has grown to be a very beautiful pup. He is 8 months old now and I have been training him on the show lead since he was six months old. He stacks very well and has a good gait. Recently, I noticed that his neck is a bit short. Being that I have little experince with this breed so far, I would like to know if his neck will grow a bit more during the next few months. He is already 23" at the withers, so I hope he doesn't get too much taller...lol.. but when I look at the type of boxers that are regular winners in the show ring they seem to have rather enlongated necks. I attachede a few pics for anyone to look at if they like..any comments would be welcome....BTW...this is my first post and I think I will really enjoy this site...

Welcome to the forums, it's very hard to tell from those pics, try to get a friend or family member to get a full body side shot of him while you are stacking him, that's the only way to tell if his neck is in proportion with the rest of his body.

HAHA !!! Well Christine, I actually think that he is on the skinny side....But it's probably because I am around him all the time and I probably don't have the perspective of meeting him for the first time...that's the main reason I want everyone's honest opinion. I think I am too emotionally attached...>

Well...here's a couple of pictures that I took tonite. He is still young (just turned 8 months) and was excited about the treat in my hand, so his topline does not look very good (plus he needs to go to get a haircut....he never has gotten trimmed...I am waiting until I get him used to the sound of clippers). Is his neck too short??? That is what I have been trying to figure out...I need other peoples opinions here
