Default Need help! Boxer recently became aggressive!

So I have a 2 year old male boxer still intact. My brother has a 1 year old male intact red heeler. He has had Joker since he was a puppy. I have had Tyson since December 2011. Tyson has always gotten along with all dogs, and always had a blast when he would get to see Joker. They would play and wrestle for hours. About a month ago my mom was watching Tyson for me while I was at work and my bro brought joker over. They instantly started fighting but nobody really thought anything of it. Tonight I showed up at my moms and joker was there. Tyson got out of the car and instantly violently went after joker. Had to pull them apart. We went to put him in the pen with my moms 10 year old golden retriever, who Tyson always got along gray with, and he instantly attacked him too. Once I got Tyson off of him he attacked joker again. He just wouldn't stop. I have never seen him remotely like this before. Has been in 2 other fights but he was the one attacked. Later in the night I sat by ty and my bro carried joker over and we let them get close. Then a lil closer and ty tried to go after him again. I need help please! These 2 used to play for hours on end and were inseparable friends, and now I can't take Tyson close to him.

There may be a female in heat nearby which they can both smell and so he is being a boy and getting excited over it.... and not wanting to share!

^ That's one possibility. Perhaps he's being protective of you now? So many variables.

Isolate him from direct contact for now.

Go for walks with him leading and the other dog following,so he refigures that the other dog aint a threat.

After a few days of doing this, you can start walking them side-by-side at about 10 feet from each other.

Then after a few days of this and everything looks good, tails wagging when they see each other, try reintroducing them.

No other ways...this will take time.

P.S.

Neutering could be a complementary option.

Your dog has reached sexual maturity, he now views other males as competition. Get him neutered or keep him away from other males.

Getting him neutered is on the top of my to do list. As for the in heat thing, my moms place is out in the country so I'm ruling that out. As for walking the 2 together that's pretty much impossible. I live 2 hrs from my moms and my bro lives about an hour away and we're always busy. Its usually only about 1 time a month that they spend time together.

First problem is that you have two males that are not fixed so naturally one or the other is going to fight...it's just being a male that's not fixed. Also if there's a female in heat near by he will fight other males. Get him fixed ASAP and until then keep him away from other males.
