Couple of updates/questions...
Emma and Liam are definitely playing more! However, Emma is still attacking Liam when he tries to get near me, either on the couch or in the kitchen and sometimes on the bed. I have been correcting her in these instances because I want her to know that Liam is part of the family and is allowed to cuddle too. Liam is still barking a lot especially when she won't let him near me and when she won't play with him. Emma is not picking up on any of the commands I'm trying to teach her. She already knows how to sit so I'm trying to teach her a very simple "paw" or "high-five," we go with the "high-five" command. I've spent quite a while with her on this and have even gotten treats she's responding to, but she is still not grasping it. I'm getting a bit frustrated. Has anyone tried "The Perfect Dog Training System" by Don Sullivan? Dani

there is an adjustment time when you add to your pack also realize boxers play LOUDLY and sound like they are shredding each other growling barking yipping are all part of it but there is never a mark on them from the other they are trying to sort out their pack order and where you fit as well if you haven't tried nilf I would start Emma sounds like she has had some neglect and really really wants her own person and to not share I would take some time each day with each of them alone out of sight of the other and shower them with Love and cuddles and insist that Emma shares you with Liam when you are all together

It will work itself out. We got our female first and doted on her. Then we decided she needed a sibling, she was about 3 months old by then. We adopted her bio brother bandit, he was 2 months old. Same dam different sire. She eventually adjusted to sharing her toys and our affections. After about 5 months we got another male, he was about a month old. You just have to make a conscious effort to give each of them equal attention.
