Is this dog purebred?

Her nose looks too long. Can you tell me if she is purebred?

She looks like a boxer/pit mix to me... However, it's really hard to guess! You could always get a DNA test done... She is a cutie for sure

Doesnt look purebred to me..

The muzzle/head looks off, no wrinkles, lack of an egghead which boxer puppies always have, very little or no indendation between eyes, etc.

She looks like a Boxer to me. She certainly has "kidney beaning" down! Some Boxers do have longer snouts. Check out the photo gallery here and you will surely find some.

Both of ours had what I consider long snouts. Kosmo grew into his fine and Karma seems to be doing the same. Ours are both full blodded boxers but people around here commonly mistake Kosmo for a Bull Mastif or Pit Bull. When he runs and gets his ears flipped back he does look alot like "Hooch" off Turner & Hooch & he was a Mastif I think. lol Either way you have a cutie on your hands now

I agree with Mom2Rocky. I thought she looked like a boxer pit mix. She could be a purebreed from parents that did not fit the standard. Are you looking at buying her, or do you own her already?

I am supposed to go pick her up on Thursday. I would preffer to get a purebred dog but I would feel bad about not taking her if she is not truly purebred. Im not sure what to do. I am worried about getting a dog that does not act like a typical boxer because that is what I want.

I would wait and get a puppy from a more reputable breeder. If they are the ones who produced this puppy, they probably did not do it the correct way, by having the parents fully health tested. There are many resources available here on the forum that teach you how to find a reputable breeder. Good luck with your decision.

The people that I am getting her from bought her from a backyard breeder and realized that they cant care for her like she needs and now want to get rid of her.

P.S. Your dog is absolutely beautiful!

It's hard to tell for sure if she is a purebred boxer or not from the pics, i have gotten pet quality boxers from one of if not the best breeders in our country that came out of their best bloodlines and the dog was everything that you could ever want in a show quality boxer but his head, his muzzle was very narrow and very un boxer like, so no matter how well bred and how good the quality of bloodlines you have, there is allways going to be one puppy every once in a while that don't quite stack up to the boxer standard and she could just be one of them.
