My dog has been caught in the Local BSL laws and they are making me rehome my dog if they give her back.

Do you think she is mixed with pitbull enough to be majority pit bull or pitbull at all?

I never saw the father but her mother was clearly a boxer. I was given her and she was the runt of the litter and had blue eyes that changed to brown.

I never questioned questioned that she could be a pitbull mix because I was told she was a boxer and my vet thought so too. I had people ask me but they also my ask if my overweight Chihuahua was a pit bull puppy to.

You need to post a picture of the dog in question. Blue eyes never change colour. Sounds like you got your puppy at a very young age as the brown eyes can have a blueish hue to them.

Also I dont understand who is making you rehome your dog. The BSL laws dont allow transfer of ownership, if you town or city deems a dog to fit the BSL they will remove and put that dog to sleep unless you have evidence that your dog is what you say it is.

She may be a "slight" mix, but she is in NO WAY majority. Where do you live? Most places with BSL breed bans will not return the dog to the owner under any circumstances. They might make the dog available to a rescue outside of the BSL area, but typically they are euthanized if no rescue steps in.

Definitely looks like a bit of a pit mix to me. A very close friend of mine has a pit and in a couple of your pix it was almost spitting image

We are in PG County. She has a hearing to determine her fate. The two higher ups in the animal control have deemed her a pitbull boxer mix with majority pitbull. She was labeled a boxer mix when she arrived by 3 ACO there.

They are telling me I essentially lost the breed case because some of the panel was influenced by chief ACO when they rescheduled the hearing because of low attendance of panel. Seems a farce if I lose before get to present evidence.

She is 4 years old.

This all started with when she bit a teenager. My neighbor who watches my dog had her on a leash and was feeding her treats. Her cat comes to the window and she starts barking. The guy decides to come up to her and pick with her despite the caretaker telling him to leave her yard and get away. Demi turns around and barks at him as he does a buck up dance in front of my dog just out of eeach. My dog pulls caretaker off balance and bites the boy.

My girlfriend lives in DC so she may get to go there but she cant stay in reality because she lives with me more. Its frustrating because you can find American bulldogs, boxers and pit bulls who look very similar. They also have been adopting dogs that look very close to Demi as boxers. You have dogs that are pits passed off as weird breeds.

So sorry this has happened to you! I worry about this as I too have a Boxer mix (what the shelter called her), but you can see the Pit in her.
I hope you are able to get her safely back to you.
