My baby girl is CKC registered and I have 2 papers one for her mom and one for her dad to follow the blood line all the was back 3 or 4 generations. But I am curious as how the puppies are allowed to get papers and to be registered with CKC. DO the parents have to compete in dog shows in order to breed with them.
Because as to my knowledge( i think ) my baby girls parents did not compete in dog shows in order to breed and have their puppies registered with papers. My friend in Switzerland said that if the parents of puppies have not been 3 times in a dog show and get a title for it then the puppies will not be allowed to have papers or be registered if they breed their dogs. ( i think ) |

I THINK it's different in Europe. My understanding is in Canada you just need registered parents and breeding rights to register a pup. They don't need health testing or anything. It just guarantees your pup is a purebreed and nothing else. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong.

CKC means absolutely nothing in America. It's a joke of registry started by puppy millers.

In Canada it is the Canadian Kennel Club. It is where dogs are registered. I guess it depends on what CKC stands for on the registration papers

If these dogs are Canadian and registered in Canada it would be The Canadian Kennel Club. The other CKC is an American registry that isn't worth the paper it's written on. AKC is the American registry. To say CKC isn't worth anything is misleading. It shud be explained which CKC you are refering to especially if some one is new to this.

I think you are confusing it with the Continental Kennel Club which is used by mainly American puppymillers to try to confuse people.

Brunotheboxer,
Registration papers in Canada and the USA only show pedigree, not quality of that breed. Do you have your dogs registration papers or just copies of her parents?

Their info on the left says B.C Canada, though they could have gotten the puppy from any where.
