Hey everyone, im looking to become an owner of a boxer and i have been looking around for breeders. I have emailed KG boxers to see if and when they will have puppyies available and im waiting for a response, iv'e also come across tanoak.
I will be a first time owner of a boxer and ive read from a 2 people that their boxers from tanoak have been quite a challenge. I understand that boxers are a challenge, like any dog would be, but they kind of made it seem like it was more challenging that normal. anyways if anyone could give me some insight on this breeder would be greatly appreciated. Also if they know of some good breeders i should have a look at in ontario (im just 20 mins north of toronto). im hoping to get a pup some time next month but ofcourse i am willing to wait longer to get a good and healthy pup from a good breeder. thanks |

My male is from tanaok. I wouldn't say that all boxers from Tanoak are a challenge. Not every dog is the same or has the same level of dominance. Boxers in general are a very challenging breed to raise from puppy hood as are most bully breeds because they are very head strong, stubborn and dominant. I have no health issues with my dog at all although he is very dominant. He is a sweat heart and is gentle enough to play with my 1 yearold. I know 7 other people that have boxers from Tanoak and they do not have any health issues either and are very nice looking large (73-80lb) boxers that confirm to the FCI and CKC standard. They provide you with contract with health guarantee, a 6th generation pedigree, ckc certificate, health records and are from champion lines. Helga and Dieter have always answered any questions that I ask of them and are always willing to talk about their boxers or give me guidance.

I in the same situation that MarkB is in. I'm looking for feedback on Tanoak and or KG breeders, can anyone help? This will be my first Boxer but I have had plenty of experience raising large dogs (Rottweiler & German Shepherds). Thanks in advance.
