The boys have been on their raw diet for about a month now and are doing amazing!! We are ready to introduce a new protein (as well as the chicken which they are lovingg). I have read that the next best protein to add in is Turkey, however where I live (Brazil) we can only get turkey at the end of the year (dec.) and so i don't see the point of starting them on turkey when they won't really be able to eat it any other time. My question is, what is the next best protein to add. Lamb? Pork? Beef? Fish? Any others?
Also.. I don't know if it is the same in the USA but at our butchers we have chicken (females) and rooster (males).. is there any difference? Finally, as for raw meaty bones.. i know that beef bones are too hard for their teeth how about lamb bones or pork bones? Thanks so much everyone. |

If turkey is hard to get see about quail or duck. You can skip the turkey all together and go to beef next. Just add in a few ounces at a time 2-3 oz max.
Over here they dont tell you whether the chicken you are buyingit was male or female. Its just chicken

After beef or Pork. Lamb is very fatty and would be one of the last proteins I would introduce before organs.
