I am seriously contemplating starting Horatio on the RAW diet with Keenyah. His farts and insane number of poops a day isn't getting any better and from my research, this seems to be our last hope. He LOVES Keenyah's food when he gets it as a special treat so I think it would be really good for him. The vet is guessing he'll weigh between 65-75 lbs full grown so I'm thinking of giving him 1 and a half pounds of food a day? Sound about right? Keenyah gets just over 1 pound everyday and she's 58 lbs. Or does he need more??

I think 1.5lb would be a good starting point. Is Horatio really active? Logan is super active and I give him between 1.5-2lb a day. I gave up trying to be exact. LOL As long at or over the 1.5lb mark I'm happy and so isn't he. So far he's been doing great with that amount.

He is very laid back in the house... But we go hiking and to the dog park 2-3 times a week and we got on daily walks. He's more active than Keenyah but he's not psycho crazy anymore. LOL. I think i'll do like you and do 1.5-2 lbs a day and see if he puts on too much weight or starts loosing weight. Right now he's getting 4 cups of dry kibble a day and he's maintaining his healthy weight.

Horatio is realy my fiance's dog and although he saw the vast change in Keenyah, he wasn't really sold on the need to feed that to Horatio. The only reason we started it with Keenyah was because it was a dire medical situation. She was CONSTANTLY bloating. So I don't think he'd realize that even though Horatio is healthy on kibble, he'd be healthier on raw. But since he's deployed I guess that means I can make the decision
