Default Elevated feeder bowls

Hey guys,

Do any of you use elevated dog bowls to prevent gastric torsion and bloat? If so, where did you get yours from? I can't find any anywhere.

They say that the elevated bowls/feeders actually don't prevent bloat but add to the problem... I would just avoid them.

Valerie - I thought I had read that somewhere but wasn't 100% sure. Duke's bowls are on the ground too.

All my dogs have elevated bowls because they seem more comfortable eating with their food up verses being on the ground. It reminds me of a giraffe at a watering hole when the dogs eat on the ground, their front legs are bent or splayed out, neck stretched it doesn't seem like it would be a pleasant way for dogs to eat.

I got one from walmart that holds kibble. I think it was $30 but I don't like it. Have you looked on eBay? Petsmart sells them too. I also feed Nikki on the ground now that she eats raw.

My girls both have elevated bowls. I got them both at Petsmart. Got lucky when I got Pheona's they were in the clearance section.

I won a fancy cherry wood one at a fair for Holly and my puppies have a adjustable "grow with me" metal feeder from Target they were on clearance for $5, I plan on getting them better feeders, probably wood ones from petsmart in the future once they're done growing.
