I am currently feeding her half purina pro plan chicken and rice puppy formula and half Diamond Chicken and Rice adult. How long should I keep feeding puppy food in with the Diamond?

Puppies (up to a year) can be fed an all life stages food rather than puppy food. If the bag says adult on it, then it's not appropriate.
You may want to check on changing (slowly, to avoid tummy upset) to a better kibble. Here's a link. Look for a kibble that's at least a 4; preferably a 5 star food. Dry Dog Food Reviews | Dog Food Advisor . You may pay more for a premium food, but you'll be able to feed less of it in most cases b/c it's more nutrient dense. Both of the foods you're currently feeding only rate 2.5 stars. They have a lot of grains in them. Many boxers do better on a grain free kibble, but if you go with a grain inclusive one, look for one with no corn, wheat, or soy. Many dogs are sensitive to these ingredients, causing allergies or digestive upset. Also make sure that a named meat source is listed a couple of times in the first 4-5 ingredients, especially the first three ingredients. |
