Default NB Venison & Sweet Potato

I have recently switched my 5 month old puppy to Natural Balance LID Venison and Sweet Potato. It has done wonders for his chronic diarrhea. However i have noticed his stool is really dark in color. Should i be concerned? I am just so happy that for the first time in his 5 months of life he has normal consistency stools!

It's probably just the kibble that causes the color. I have Dempsey on TOTW Pacific Stream, and his poo is darker on this kibble, too.

Browns are fine but if its black, red or yellow then he needs to see a vet.

When we first picked up our "Kia" (11/2/12), I noticed she had itchy skin and lots of shedding. She came with some really poor quality food and right away I switched her to IAMS chicken and rice formula. She liked the flavor of the IAMS but was probably still having allergies to it. She was getting diarrhea. That's when we switched to NB Venison and Sweet Potato. We have gone through one 28lb bad of this formula but now she doesn't seem to like the flavor very much. I'm thinking of trying the Buffalo formula and see how that one works out.
