Keep in mind, the instructions on the bag of TOTW (any of the all-stages flavors) are for an adult dog of the given weights, and are only guidelines. The TOTW puppy foods give a much better range of amounts to feed, and even those are guidelines, to be adjusted as your dog(s) need. Also, at 11 weeks, I've always heard a puppy should be fed 3x a day, not just 2x. When our Ginger was that age, we were giving her approximately 3/4 cup of TOTW puppy 3x a day, and gradually upped that to 1 cup in the a.m., 3/4 cup in the afternoon, and 1 cup at the p.m. feeding. She was a happy, active puppy and still managed to gain about 2 - 2.5 lbs per week without ever looking pudgy.
Currently, she's 6 months old and we've just finished transitioning her to 2x a day feedings of TOTW all-stages foods, 1.5 - 1.75 cups each meal depending on how hungry she acts. We rotate flavors every other 30lb bag (she and our senior Dobe eat the same food). She's right about 40 lbs and her vet loves how she looks. Says she's the perfect weight for her age, build, and probable adult size. Hope that helps! |

Dempsey is currently on TOTW Pacific Stream and doing great! I tried to change to something else, due to the Diamond issue, but no dice. He did terrible on every other kibble I tried - anything with peas in it is a no go. Wellness Core gives him God awful gas. He poos several times a day on TOTW, but they're solid. The Pacific Stream is the only variety he can eat, unfortunately.

Mine are also on the Pacific stream right now. They do tend to poop quite a few times a day but all solid and no gas problems. Thanks for all the info!

We are feeding our 9 week old TOTW High Prairie, It is 10:30 am and Jase has already pooped 4 times. I expect him to poop another 4 times before we go to bed. Isn't this way to much? Should I change foods? His poops is solid and had no gas. I would appreciate any advice. We are new to grain free.

Pooping a lot is common in kibble fed puppies that young. When Moxie was that age she pooped about 8-10 times per day. Now that she is older she poops 3 times per day. Sounds like your puppy is doing great if they're firm.

When we switched to TOTW Pacific Stream our Maggie went from twice a day to about four or five times a day for poop. And she has gas a couple times a day. Poop is solid and she farts about as much as my toddler boys do so I can't fault her for it. It stinks as does her poop. But she packed on the pounds in three days when we switched to her. Plus she loves it. We give her about 2 cups a day. She eats it all in the am and may leave a half cup at dinner. But $50 a month ain't too bad compared to buying cheap stuff I used to feed every two weeks.
