My little man is a food snob. It took a month to figure out what he would eat. Currently its Orijen kibble with some Natural Balance canned food to spice things up.
Recently, we threw some plain greek yogurt in there... big mistake. Now, he won't touch the food unless there is yogurt in it. Is that a bad thing? The little guy will eat virtually zero food without it, and 2 cups of kibble with it! We have been doing it this past week and his stools are fine. I don't want him to always expect food add-ons, but I also hate to see him not eat at this age. -Jim |

Greek yogurt is fine. I raw feed and include a spoonful of yogurt after every meal for dessert.
I have found that it significantly helps with gas with my girls. They have gone from about a dozen toots to a couple a day. I dont find its a bad thing! Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Giving your pup yogurt daily is a good thing. With that said make sure its plain unsweetened yogurt not flavored because of the sugar content. I feed Kippah about 1 tablespoon of plain unsweetened low fat yogurt daily for the probiotics.

Maybe I will pick up some plain yogurt to try with my girls. Our Maggie loved plain yogurt & even cottage cheese (vet recommended that towards the end with her). I tend to be picky what I feed my girls. My cousin told someone once that I feed my girls fru-fru food.

We tried the yogurt thing... It lasted a week, went to pumpkin a few days... Pre neuter he was a grazer post neuter he's morning and evening feedings... I feed him a decent puppy, on the verge of switching to an adult food.... Although he rather eat penny's old lady food. Some type of Iam's senior maturity weight crap... I can't see how that could taste good... It's like diet caffeine free pop ( soda for those not in the Pittsburgh, pa area)!!!! Why eat?!?!?!?!? I did notice he had virtually no gas with the yogurt though, really doesn't have any with his food now either.... I think I have 1 tbsp with each feeding when I did do it!
