Acana definitely has a new formula. I picked up on that right away and a lot of dogs aren't transitioning well. But, the orijen ingredients are not showing ANY change. I did contact the company and they assured it has not change, so I sent them a pic of the kibble and they asked for the lot number to do quality control. Haven't heard anything since friday, I assume that is because of the holidays.

I really hope they haven't changed everything; This is pretty much the only food I can get Bosley to eat...

*edit: the bag I have has the darker kibbles as well...
It's the only kibble that Rally does well on.

Any update on what's happening with Orijen? They're on my list of potential foods to try out for Bruno once he's adult aged and if I find he does ok on high protein. I don't want to bother for the $$$ though if they've changed something and reduced quality from what everyone has raved about them for.

Wow...everything makes sense now. I was feeding Orijen until recently. First I did the 6-Fish when they started having soft serve poop, then transitioned to the Regional Red they did ok, but still soft-serve poop, then rotated to Acana Prairie. Bad Idea......it gave both my dogs very bad gas and diarrhea and gurgly stomachs. So much so that I had to have them on a bland diet for 10 days!!!! Poor Duke had to be put on 2 types of antibiotics and lost so much weight. I did not put 2 and 2 together that the ownership changed and the formula changed, now it makes sense. They are on a different kibble now that they are doing well on. I am sticking to the kibble I have now, it is holistic and they are doing well on it. Not much gas and they seem to really like it. I think Orijen and Acana are very good kibble, but my dogs did not do well with it after a couple of months.

I haven't noticed any changes anymore... I dunno maybe it was the one batch.

I was corresponding with them by email and they said that the difference in the look of the kibble was the type of meat source they were using. I'm not sure I beleive that but I haven't had any problems

I feed Goomba Acana and haven't noticed a change. I know they had a fire in their production factory so the grain free ones (that we like) weren't available from mrchewy.com. I've always had great customer service with them so if you ordered from them I'm sure they'd be happy to talk about anything and figure it out. They were the ones that told me about the fire.

I personally have not a had a problem with it. I feed Orijen not Acanna. It is made by the same company.

They did not change ownership, they apparently did not change anything. Like I said previous I was in correspondance with one of the managers in the production centre and she was adamant that they did not change, adjust or do anything different. She said there is a possibility that the colour/size of the kibble will vary at times due the the natural product they use. They only use fresh and local meat sources.

It would be up to you in the end, but it is still a high quality kibble.
