Hi All,
Can I get some opinions on this Barf-like food? Its available here in Australia, and tried Duke on it and he seems to love it. I know 100% raw is best, and i know Prey model is best but it's a challenge getting him what he needs where we are. Eg finding Turkey necks is next to impossible. Rang 5 chicken shops yesterday and not one had backs! Time is also an issue for us. Have been feeding Wellness till now but all of a sudden it doesn't seem to be agreeing with him. Very runny stools. With this, you hydrate it with water then mix with mince of choice and away you go. A complete holistic meal. We're also lucky here in that we have plenty of kangaroo mince available which i have read is probably one of the best meats you can feed a dog. My plan is to do two meals of Vets all natural with mince, plus a meal of say RMB's per day. My concern is that it does have grains. However a lot of breeders and owners reccomend this and dogs seem to thrive on it. My head at the moment is that if i had 2 choices and a) is kibble and b) is this, I'm leaning towards this as grains or no grains I'm thinking its better than a 100% processed food? One last point is that unfortunately we don't have the same level of premium kibble here in Aus as you do in the US. My local pet shop which is one of the largest in the country for example only has Wellness that is grain free, thats it. And now that he's off it, it will mean switching to a grain kibble. Anyways, here are the details. http://www.vetsallnatural.com.au/CMsheet.pdf |
