So I'm new to the kong but recently purchased one for my puppy. My big dogs were really interested so I got them one. I was buyin stuff from the pet store but with 3 dogs it seems too expensive. I was doing research.. Seems there are lots of different things you can do with them on your own.
Do you use a kong? If so what is your fur babies favorite recipe? Sent from Petguide.com App

I dont use a Kong I use a sterile hollow bone. I use non fat plain yogurt and mix in some peanut butter for flavoring. Freeze it overnight and give it to Kippah when I am going to work in her kennel. She loves it

I smear a thick layer of peanut butter around the inside of the Kong (about an inch down the sides, not all the way to the bottom), then freeze it. It lasts longer when frozen. My dogs go nuts for it!

We put peanut butter in them for our girls as well. The other day I put a little peanut butter then a small piece of banana with a little more peanut butter. I know the Kong site you can even get recipes for stuff to put in them.

I pack canned dog food in the bottom of the kong then add kibble. I top off the kong with more canned food and freeze it. Sometimes I add different items for variety such as apple, banana or carrot pieces, greek yogurt, pn butter, or broken dog biscuits. The canned food freezes well and takes Angus about 45 minutes to eat one. Helps keep him occupied on a work day.
