Hi, just wanted opinions on this hard bump on Rocky ear. He's had it for a few months and now a second one is forming on the outside of the ear (second pic). He's had a benign growth removed already, he's 2 years old. The last pic is just cause he's cute!! Do you think this warrants a vet visit? Thanks!!

Hmm..I think I would have the vet take a look and remove it and sent it out for further examination. And I only say this due to the fact that so many boxers develop cancer, although usually at an older age , I would be on the side of precaution. I've been reading about the Morris foundation and the research they do for cancer in dogs so I'm now on the lookout but no expert by any means. this is just my humble opinion.

My boxer recently had something that started out looking like that but was a little smaller near her cheek/mouth. We were at the vet for other issues so she checked it out. She said it looked like pappoloma and they usually fall off or go away on there own. The vet said if it hung around for more than a few weeks it should be removed. It ended up changing color and then popping (and bleeding) after about 2 weeks.

My dog had something that was similar. It was bigger though on the inside of the ear flap. It was very dry after a bit and the vet said it was a wart and if it didn't grow in size not to worry about it. It was less than half an inch in diameter than a second one smaller right next to it. The vet said we could have it removed if we wanted but one day she scratched her ear and it started bleeding. After trying to prevent her from scratching it fell off one day and you can't even tell it was there now.
