I have noticed now over the last two week or so, something unique that Hank, the Boxer, likes to do.
When I am taking him on a walk, all of a sudden he will tug really hard on the leash - very very hard and want to go into the tall grass (about 3 foot high), flowers, weeds, etc. on the sides of the trail I am walking. He will walk in, the drop and roll around, lay there for a few seconds. Then he comes back out, shakes himself off, and continues to walk. If there is a slight incline, he will not only roll around, but when he lays down, let him self then just slide down on his back or side. He will do this maybe 1-3 times during a 30-40 minute walk.
I cannot understand what is he doing. Getting a good scratch? Just likes rolling around in the tall grass/weeds? He looks pretty happy doing it, so I let him. It is actually kind of funny, and I shake my head in bewilderment.
Any ideas why he likes this, doing this? Anyone else here have their boxer doing the same thing?
