As I stated in the other thread, Hank had his "Surgery" today and now trying to just get him to relax and chill out.

But, it is the 3rd of July. Sounds like Baghdad on a wedding weekend in my neighborhood! Firecrackers, bottle rockets, explosions going off all over the place! I have a lot of children in my neighborhood, which is a great thing and normally would be happy to hear all the little boys running around setting off fireworks, as I did the same when younger.

But, I can tell it is freaking out Hank a bit. Or if not freaking him out, he is trying to figure out what is going on! :crazy eye:

I guess we will see tonight how Kai does, my last dog a shih tau would just be scared to death and wouldn't go outside to potty she would go out tune her tail and make a beeline for the house, of course I stayed out till she went but she usually wold have an accident at least once during the night. Kai we make like we hear nothing when it thunders, so we shall see. Some years its like WWII other years not so bad.

Mine were a bit jumpy last year mostly Zoe (it was her first summer) and I think Max fed off her. This year they've both been fine, they've been going off for about a month it got progressively worse the past week. Friday night was bad was last night way worse. I can't let them out alone this morning because there's a lot of crap to clean up (none is ours) and we aren't at ground zero in the nighborhood. It'll be quieter tonight bur I;m betting it's not over. They spend tons of money on fireworks in the neighborhood. Probably close to $30,000 on a group order and then lots of individuals buy them too. No need for us to buy any.

LOL, we have the same thing here, when I walked this morning I tripped over stuff, nothing serious. I guess people will clean up their trash this morning. they are usually pretty good about it. Kai had no issue with the noise. When the first really loud one went off my terrier started to bark, the Kai gave a big boy bark and that was about it. We only went out one more time for a potty break. I'm sure we will have some more tonight, just some left overs I guess. Some holidays we have tons of fireworks going off this year wasn't as bad. Next New Years, thats also big.

I honestly would love that problem.haha I also would love to shoot fireworks off whenever I wanted. Growing up in Iowa, all we had were sparklers & everyone drove down to Missouri to get fireworks. And as far as I know it's illegal in Phoenix as well- Arizona has more of a fire concern, but there are also too many weirdos & freaks down here. I wouldn't want to shoot them off here- but back home in Iowa I would. The dogs don't seem to have a problem with the fireworks or thunder. My schnauzer grew up in Iowa where there are big storms, and I think the boxer has learned from her behavior, since she is so calm about it. When we do have bad monsoon storms or there are fireworks, if we are gone, I just crate them in our bedroom. We cover our windows and I have the fan & AC on, sometimes the TV as well, and it doesn't seem to phase them.

We live about 3/4 mile north of a county line to the south they are illegal but in our county they are legal unless there's a burn ban. We've had a lot of earthquakes the past few years mine hate them sometimes they feel them coming and get upset and come running to me to hide. Fireworks ok earthquakes run for mama - too funny!

Kody is fine with fireworks. We took him with us to a firework show at the local park when he was only about 15 weeks old. He slept threw the entire thing!

Now hes just curious as to what the noise is for about the 1st 5 minutes.

He however doesn't like when were shooting guns when he's around. He doesn't get scared but you can tell its just to loud for him. So now we always put him inside.
