Is this normal for a boxer?

My boxer girl just turned 2 (from what we can gather since she's a rescue) and in the last few weeks she's become a handful. She's always been very energetic, but lately she's become really hyper.

I was hoping she might mellow around 2, but not the case. :dontgetit:

Nothing has changed that I can tell, she eats well, gets lots of exercise and play. But she just seems like she can't get enough of playtime with everyone. She has a doggie companion and she tires him out, then she wants to keep playing while he wants to rest or chew on a bone. We'll play with her and when we want to rest she keeps harassing us to play with her. It's like she has no down time.

I'm hoping this is a phase and that she'll grow out of it, but not sure what to do till then. No amount of play or exercise will get her down for long. I've been wondering if maybe hormones are playing a part. She's spayed, but still...I imagine some hormones are still there.

Any thoughts?

Kina will be 2 in February and is still high energy Boxer crazy. K.O. will be 5 in March and has settled down very nicely since he was 3+. He will respond at times to her dancing around him and trying to play with him. But he doesn't stay in that hyper mode for very long now.
