Well...my husband and i have been debating for a few years adding a second boxer or Boston to our home.
Our neighbours now have a beautiful 10 week old English Lab.
Their pup LOVES Kona and follows him everywhere, does what he does and Kona hates it.
The pup bops him with toys, nips at his nub, tries to lick his weener and generally harasses the heck out of him.
Kona puts up with it but looks at me like "WTF mom?"
soooo...I think that we are going to be a 1 dog household
Lmao...don't let that discourage you. It's different once they realize the other pup isn't leaving and is a member of the family. It's like people are ok with their own children but can't stand other people's kids, lol.
Cute rendition of your neighbour's new pup!! so funny and yet so true! Like Kari says once they realize they aren't leaving things will adjust. My son and his fiancée just got a Boston Terrier pup a few months ago; I can't get over how much he is like a Boxer!!! His personality is wonderful, his energy is just like our Boxers even the jack hammer of the two front paws bouncing on his toys.

If you think Boxers get the crazes, Bostons are crazier. I remember when my daughters Bostons were pups, they would drive me nuts zooming around the house!! I can't imagine adding one to a boxer household :crazyeye:
Didn't realize the jack hammer thing was a boxer thing. Amor only does that with her Frisbee and then noses it to a wall to get it up so she can grab it. It's hilarious.
Do what I do, bring one home and say look look what I found, well really not found someone was giving him away at Petsmart and I just couldn't leave him...then hubby growls a bit pet the pup gets the face lick and he is hooked.
You could always adopt an older dog! This guy is with New Hope Dog Rescue in Saskatoon, they are looking for a foster for him. He's about 3 years old and apparently very friendly, he's from northern SK somewhere and has mange. My family is in Saskatoon and I am in Bragg Creek (just outside of Calgary) so I could always organize transport for you.....
I was trying to sell my hubby on having us foster him, but we just had a (human) baby 6 weeks ago so he's not up for adding a third dog to our household right now.
