You guys are better pet owners than me! I throw the bowls in the dishwasher at the most once a week! I am feeding kibble now, when I was feeding raw I washed the bowl after each meal.
One a week for food bowl but it's dry food so the bowl is pretty clean. My dog has a huge 5 gallon water canister with bowl and I wait until it is half gone before changing it. It is outside so I sometimes have to change it every other day.
Well I always feel slime in Kai's bowl after he eats, I think he drools, lol so I always wash it in hot soapy water. He water bowl probably gets changed twice a day, depending on how much he drinks but I always wash it in the morning regardless before I fill it back up.
MY mourning routine is I take my chis and terrier out and feed them, then I wash all water bowls out, thats 6 bowls it includes the cats, scoop out litter boxes, run my little wreck portable vacuum, take Kai out feed him, the I'm on here, LOL. By then if not sooner my daughter is out and takes Kai out again or for his morning walk. Then we all chill till after lunch.
I have 2 food bowls each. All 4 go thru the dishwasher at night. They drink from a filtered fountain which is washed and refilled weekly. Filters get changed twice a month. Yes they are spoiled!
I wash the water bowl every morning. I hand wash the food bowl once a day and then about once a week I throw it in the dishwasher on the sani cycle. Oh, and I only use stainless steel.
Interesting answers. I thought i was doing so badly. I do it differently, so does my mum. I guess it's to be cleaned when it's got to be cleaned, no matter how
My guy is raw fed so after each feeding. Water bowl is done a couple times a week.
