Help Get Otis Back Home (OTIS LIVES!!!)

Local news here right now...and this was a Lab!!! Its every week its something...it was just last week here another horrible story...I can't even watch the news anymore.... .

Sickening video, sickening comments. Just another in a long line of misleading and inaccurate media reporting about dog attacks. "'Pitbull" in the headlines always gets peoples attention. Doesn't matter what the breed is, the dog was clearly trying to avoid confrontation by backing away with a nervous warning bark, and at one point even runs away. I don't understand how the dog runs away, the video gets all blacked out, then the dog is in front of them again. I'm guessing they followed the dog in an effort to capture it and when the dog was confronted and cornered it of course acted more aggressively and nervously. Then to snag the dog with a catch pole and taser it twice? Is that really necessary? I understand the need for cops to protect themselves but this looks like they were looking for a fight. They could have easily let the dog go, call animal control, and catch the dog humanely.

I normally don't watch the news, but I just didn't change the channel because I wasn't really paying attention. Then I saw the boxer and became horribly pissed off!!

well I put my 2 cents in!! I decided to post this: Wow....some people are so educated, right? Why don't you do some research so you can find out that the dog that was tasered was not a pit, but it was in fact a boxer! If anyone knows anything about that breed, or for any breed if that, they will know that dogs bark when someone new comes up to them! (especially with a gun in a holster on their side) It's funny that the cops felt that they needed to pull out the taser when the dog was not even lunging at the officers. And why did they cover up the video when they tasered the dog, could they not justify the irrational move they pulled? I would just love to say that the officer who did this is a complete pansy and shouldn't be on the force if he is afraid of a dog!!!


I am starting to see more negative comments towards the video now! I hope there is something that can be done to that officer! And I hope that the dogs is taken care of...They say it is "growling menacingly at everyone who approaches it" Do you think they could possibly be coming up to it with on of their tools they use to pull them out of the kennels! ERRR.....I wanted to throw a few choice words out in that comment, but was nice....so please allow me to do it here..... I hope karma comes around to that damn cop and he gets his balls chewed by an actual pit someday...maybe then he will know what in the hell a damn pit looks like in comparison to a F****** boxer! <------see I was still a little polite with my language...I used stars!

Yeah, I'm liking that more and more people are chiming in about how stupid this guy is and how it is NOT a pit. It was hard for me to keep my language under control!! I posted that link to the "find the pit" page. I wish there was more I could do, but I'm not sure what I can do! I'm sooo disgusted though

I left a comment after readin some of the comments. I still have not watched the video, but I can't fathom some of the comments that people have made.
