Default How much does your Boxer shed?

Ava seems to be shedding. I never noticed it before! Do your Boxer Babies shed and if so, how much?

My daughter and Ava were having a moment cuddling and she said Ava's hair was coming out! I checked her myself and sure enough, I could grab a bit of hair and it was coming out but not in big clumps to form bald spots... but I got a good bit of hair. Zack and Casey always shed so it's no big deal to me...

I'm just trying to figure out if that is normal or not because she does have short hair <figured the sheding would be low-Was I kidding myself?> and Ava is my first Boxer baby <I love her soooo much> and I never noticed her shed like this since I've had her in March.

PLEASE! Put my mind at ease and tell me she's normal. <other than being a total goofball>

My dog shed their undercoats from time to time. Zoom Groom once a week and you will see the amount of fur disappear.

Gus is shedding a ridiculous amount right now, even though I brush the hair off him every few days. His hair is everywhere. You'd think he was a magician - everything he touches turns brindle!

Apollo sheds. A fair amount. He doesn't do well being brushed. He likes to play with the brush too much.

At a recent get-together with friends I got into a great conversation with my good friends father in law about boxers. He is a big fan of the breed and had them in the 70's and 80's. Of course he complicated their intelligence and told me he also liked that his did not shed. He told me his secret was to allow the dogs to adjust to the weather. To do this he told me it was important to give them some time outside everyday. Hed told me that a half hour or more was best. He did say to of course use good judgement on those super cold and super hot days due to the boxers short coats. He believes this allows the dogs to naturally adjust to climate changes as dogs are really outdoor animals. Not sure if this is just a myth, but currently seasons are changing. Is it coincidence that these shedding posts are side by side with falling temperatures? So far I have not noticed Captain Shedding much at all. His coat is very shiny and I do give him a Bath with Natural Oatmeal Shampoo once a week.
