Your first mistake was taking him to an Urgent Care facility. They have the worst record for treating people and they are just cash centers for hospitals. The only good those urgent care facilities are for is NOTHING!!!!! Pass those places up and go to a hospital, they are usually just a few miles further, but worth it!!!!
Hope your Dad recovers 100%

On the bright side, having to switch and use his left hand, as awkward as it's been the last few weeks, seems to have helped with the pain and swelling caused by the brachial plexus injury from last year's heart surgery. He's actually gained a little mobility back in his left hand and he's now able to make a loose fist, which he hasn't been able to do since the surgery. The doctor said it would take 12 to 18 months to see any improvement and we're at the 11 month mark, so maybe it's just a coincidence, but we'll take it either way!

Good luck with the att. Trust me you don't have grounds for a lawsuit. The drs always cover their butt regardless that common sense says you néed antibiotic. I spoke with a lawyer on a more severe injury from the result of drs dragging their feet, nothing was able to be done. Your just wasting your time. I hope your dad feels better though.

Just reading this too. That's terrible!!! Your poor dad!! I was bit by a dog once too.. My fault as well.. I was afraid to go to the doctor because it was a rescue that bit me and she was old deaf and blind and not utd with her shots for health reasons. I did eventually have to go and get antibiotics and luckily the dr was good about it That dr should have known!! I know how fast and how serious the infection can get!
