if anyone remembers my sister rescued a 3yr old boxer who was in poor condition and was having some behavioral issues. Well we introduced her to my 6 month old male boxer Rigby. Everything was fine till he put his paw on her then i heard her growl and then she turned on him. The only thing going through my mind was that i couldn't let anything happen to my baby well i got in between and needless to say my puppy didnt get bit i did ouch! it was my fault i shouldnt have got in the way like that. lesson was learned

Step back and let them figure things out. Your puppy was being the dominant one and she was correcting his behaviour. To often ppl jump in to "protect" their babies but this is how they learn what is and what is not acceptable behaviour in the dog world.
Hope you are ok and next time just breath and keep a careful eye on the situation.
