Hi guys!
I have a 6 month old German Boxer, Lexi. I feel like Lexi is a little small for her age. She's about 35lbs. I'm wondering if this is a normal size for her age right now? Any other German boxer owners? Julie Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

I have a 7.5 old American/German cross and he is huge! Right at about 61 lbs right now. It may not be a good judge for you because he is so big. His daddy was full German blood and was right at 90 lbs. I'm assuming he will be 100 when all filled out

My 7 month old Euro girl is just over 50lbs. She has slowed down some, but i think she'll get a big bigger as she fills out.

I've had 3 boxers and the last female was German. She was 38 lbs forever and in her final years filled out to 42 lbs. Females can be small so don't worry. Could have been the last pup born. I loved her size for travelling and handling!

Thanks for the info! I'm hoping she still has a bit of growing to do. Her mom was about 55lbs and the father was about 80lbs so we assume she will be close to the same as her mom. People at the dog park are always asking if she's a mini boxer!

Nikki is 9.5 months and still 38 pounds. She seems to have stopped putting weight on. I'm guessing she will be about 45-50 pounds and that's fine with me. She doesn't look under weight but she still looks leggy. Heres her picture

Maybe my vets scales are off! Right now my litter at just past 6 months are weighing in between 55lbs to 61 lbs ( Button our tall boy)
Just to confirm, aren't the Euro breeders leaning more towards a slender, tall, lanky boxer? Maybe I have this backwards in my mind. My boy Patch is built more like a brick shit house. Short, stocky, deep chest and heavy muscles but It was my understanding that this is typical of the American lines..... Minus the excess weight he is carrying right now at 97 lbs. Even momma dog Pumpkin weighs in at 67 lbs but she's lean and lanky with lots of leg. I've never seen a "small boxer" in person and its difficult to judge size in most pictures but I know we have at least one gentleman who participates here that shows his dogs. The pictures he has posted that I've seen are what I would consider the "ideal" boxer body type. Leggy, deep of chest, lean in the middle and muscular. Not that I'm the best judge of things but I wouldn't put his dogs weight at anything under 70 lbs. I guess it's just difficult for me to imagine a full grown boxer at 30-40 or even 50lbs. |

I have no idea if Aspen is German or Euro or what, but she was 35 lbs until she was about 2 years old. Now at almost 3 years old she's 50 lbs, she hasn't gotten any taller she's just really bulked out with muscle. My friend's used to call her Skeletor, now the call her The Hulk.
