I think white boxers are beautiful & what stopped me from getting one when we opted to get Murphy was the fact of living in TX and sunburn. I do however know a lady in PA who breeds for show dogs, in her contract for the pups it's written that ears WILL BE cropped & if the people say no that they don't want them cropped either she'll have them cropped & charge extra or she'll say no sale. But I know she takes any & all white pups that are born to the local vet & has them put down. I know there are plenty of families that would love to have one of these pups & it really bothers me that she does this. I wish you the best of luck in your search for your pup.

thank you everyone for your advice and knowledge im so grateful for all of you. obviously i need to do more research to find a reputable breeder to find the healthiest brother or sister for rigby because i dont think white should be bred to white because it could lead to more problems but other than that i think we are all of the boxer no matter color are beautiful lol i just seen a black one at petco the other day she was gorgeous

My guy is a white boxer and has no health issues. Before we got him he had been to the vet and checked for blindness or being deaf.
It is not just white boxers who can have health issues, it's actually all white dogs. I love my guy and he is perfectly healthy! Couldn't be happier with our choice! ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

My white girl is deaf but otherwise has no other health problems/complications. I also very rarely have to put sunscreen on her but that is due more to our climate than to her health.
White boxers are not a mutation or genetic defect, white is one of the colors that boxers naturally come in. Black boxers are not genetically possible, a black boxer will have another breed at some point in it's lineage to introduce the black color, although blacks are becomming very popular. Do not purchase a "rare" white boxer as there is nothing rare about them as this designation is just a money grab, it was just common practice until relatively recent for white boxers to be euthanized since they do not conform to the breed standard (which I think says something like boxers should not be more than 1/3 white?) so you just don't see a lot of them around. |
