My wife and I were sitting on the couch watching TV. Mickey came walking over, waited to be invited, climbed up on us and made him self comfortable across our laps. At one point he reached up and rested his head on my neck. Even though it was probably extremely uncomfortable for him, he slept for a good 30 mins like that until I put him to bed. He did it just so that he can be close to us. I started thinking about it a bit and realized that the love that our dogs give us is completely unconditional and unfiltered. They don't count how often we have yelled or scolded them but count how many times we have loved them and try to give back 1000 times more. Their love comes with no strings attached. Unconditional.
I might sound corny, but I just wanted to sound off on how I feel about Mickey and share it with the good folks at boxerforums who helped us with Mickey. We are truly blessed to have Mickey in our lives. Please enjoy every moment that you get with these angels with fur. The love that these creatures have for us and we for them shows that there is still some chance left for humanity's survival. I wish everyone a merry Christmas/Hanukkah and a happy new year. Mahesh

Someone once told me if you want to know the true meaning of unconditional love, lock both your dog and girlfriend in the trunk of your car, wait a couple hours to open the trunk. Who do you think is gonna bete one happy to see you?

I so agree with this one. I know it just makes my day when I come home & I am greeted by the wiggle butt dancing that I get. They are so excited to see me & as I am excited to see them.
I must add...I'm so excited to see that Mickey has what we call "laser eyes" in that picture you posted. Pheona's go like that when I take a picture with my cell phone. LOL I just love it.

Very well said. I especially needed to see this after the evening Maggie has given me. I love her with all my heart but she can drive me bonkers sometimes!
