Default raw feeding panic

Kona hasn't been acting himself the last 2 days..wining a lot.
about 5 minutes ago he started throwing up ( which he never does)
He threw up grass and VERY VERY sharp slightly large pieces of bone in a yellowish bile!!
he gets chicken backs because he is raw fed.
will these sharp bones digest? are there bone fragments cutting him?
OMG im having a heart attack?

Sorry I can't help but I hope he is ok! I have just started feeding my girls chicken including my 20 pound pug and haven't had problems. I also feed them healthy paws complete meal which I buy from a raw pet store. The bones are ground and it just looks like ground meat

Go to vet if you're questioning anything! I think it's a lesson we all learned this week!

no kidding!

but im a panicker! and i dont want to turn into the boxer mom that runs to the vet because he sneezed the wrong way.

After he puked he ate breakfast and plaid with his lady bug. Eating and drinking normal...just a bit whiney.
The sharp bones freaked the hell out of me!!

Are there any signs that i should look for that will let me know he is having a problem?

it shouldn't be an issue with the bones but check his gums as long as they are pink and he is his normal self he should be fine

Personally, I would take him to the vet for a quick x-ray to determine a blockage. But I would say if his gums are pink, he's eating and drinking normal and has normal bowel movements, he is probably fine. He may have upset his tummy with the grass before he could fully digest the bones and that's why he threw them up.

Logan got sick last week and threw up a piece of bone. He rarely gets sick on raw now, but I had run out of chicken legs now that Abby's getting them too. I made sure she had enough figuring he'd be ok with boneless meals for a couple of days until I got more. I was wrong apparently. The piece of bone he threw up was also a sharper looking piece, but once he threw up he seemed to start feeling better. He's been fine ever since.

I hope Kona is feeling better now.

gums pink, playing normal, eating normal, pooping normal. Just wining quite a bit ( more than normal) and sticking to me like glue ( more than normal).

Today i put his chicken back in the blender and crushed the heck out of the bone. Turned into pureed Chicken backs. Kona loved it. He even started spinning in circles and pawing at his dish when he was done.

maybe ill just puree the backs from here on in to save me having a heart attack?!

If your unsure go to vet or call them.

If he's pooping and acting normal id say he's ok but go for xray if your really concerned!!
