I thought it would be nice to create a thread to share any positive experiences within the dog world.
It might be a positive thing you have done or you have witnessed recently. Something that just made you feel good! It might be something you read about online and would like to share that made you smile or something even goofy that made you belly laugh All positive exchanges welcome! I will go first. Today while at the shelter where I volunteer, waiting to load up dogs to go to the Christmas Parade, a gentleman and his wife came by to donate some dog beds. They were very sweet and said they just wanted to make some dogs lives soft and comfortable It made me smile I thanked him profusely wishing them both good health and happiness

That is awesome!!! I read an article today were a 2 yr old boy came up missing on the families 300 acre farm. The grandparents dog followed the boy & hours later the family saw the dog appear barking & getting their attention. They followed the dog & found the little boy safe & curled up sleeping. What a great dog to not only stay with the boy but to also get the families attention.

That's an amazing story! Such a loyal companion. May have been a much different (and worse) ending if they didn't have that pup.

I was watching a show about animals this morning and they featured a non-profit organization called "Canine Corps" which takes in dogs from people serving in the armed forces. They take care of them until their person comes home. Warmed my heart.
(Nice thread BTW!) |

I work in a high end pet store and the othe day a lady and her kids came in and bought 4 big bags of puppy food, 2 big bags of kitten food, and a bunch rawhide and squeaker balls. All for a rescue group run by two ladies on a Reservation.
She said they were donated old blankets as well. Our store donates food to these ladies as well, they always find puppies because no one fixes their dogs. They do amazing work. It was nice to see someone donate to them instead of government funded shelters, not that they don't also need it. |
