yesterday morning after waking up i noticed that KOna wasn't putting any weight on his front foot. As the day wore on the limping got less and less and eventually looked as if it wasn't there anymore.
Last night we went ot the dog park and he ran around as normal. Now this morning again he is holding up his paw and wont really walk on it. I inspected his nail and foot, moved this joints, rubbed his leg and no sign of pain. Any thoughts?? Think i should let his rest for a few days to see what happens? |

I just went through the same thing with Jack a few weeks ago. He suddenly started limping badly, and we narrowed it down to his outside toe on his front paw that was tender when we touched it. No visible problems, everything looked fine except for the bad limp. Took him to the vet, and he was so excited that he forgot about his sore paw and didn't limp. The vet said rest, no running around or jumping off things. After a day or so of rest he was no longer limping, so we let him run around at the beach with his doggy friends. The next day, he was limping badly again. Took him back to the vet and she could feel swelling, but no other visible problems so she thought it was probably just a sprain. We learned our lesson and kept him really quiet for a week, didn't even take him for a walk. We've had no further issues.

thanks CaptainJack..
sometimes i feel like a bad mom because i don't take him to the vet immediately when something is wrong. I will give it a few more days of rest. If i see any signs of pain or discomfort besides the limping ill take him to the vet...otherwise..he will be sitting on his bed pouting |
