Jaxon's lump

Well I took Jaxon to the vet to reevaluate his lump. We aspirated it again and got very little out and she did an X-ray. Interesting picture

She took me back to look at the X-ray and in front of his knee there are what looks like small bone fragments. She believes he had an injury at one time and it broke off pieces or a piece of bone and a cyst formed around it. There is a radiologist coming in Monday who is going to read the X-ray. We discussed treatment and decided as long as it isn't bothering him to leave it be.

Anyone ever had this happen or heard of it happening?

This happens in horses, its called a shin splint. Its cause from hard repetitive impact to the leg. Boxers are hard on their bodies so this really doesnt surprise me.

I used to get shin splints when I ran track in school. I remember how painful they were. Why isn't it bothering him? Seems odd but I am glad it isn't.
