Well I took Jaxon to the vet to reevaluate his lump. We aspirated it again and got very little out and she did an X-ray. Interesting picture
She took me back to look at the X-ray and in front of his knee there are what looks like small bone fragments. She believes he had an injury at one time and it broke off pieces or a piece of bone and a cyst formed around it. There is a radiologist coming in Monday who is going to read the X-ray. We discussed treatment and decided as long as it isn't bothering him to leave it be. Anyone ever had this happen or heard of it happening? Robin |

This happens in horses, its called a shin splint. Its cause from hard repetitive impact to the leg. Boxers are hard on their bodies so this really doesnt surprise me.
