So I bought Jaxon and Belah some new toys and treats and bones etc...for christmas. Well like us, they have their own stockings and what can't fit in the stocking I wrap and put under the tree. Well their gifts have been under there for about 2 weeks and we have had no problems.....until last night. For some reason Belah found an interest in our tree for the first time, sniffing around and found her gifts. So I took it from her and moved it in the back of the tree in the corner so she couldn't even see it. We went to bed and everything was fine. Woke up this morning and I'm getting ready and I hear something in the front room. Crunch and crack and falling items....she managed to wiggle her way into the back of the tree to find her present AGAIN. By the time I got to her it was unwrapped and she was going to town on it. I couldn't even be mad, I just had to laugh. (I thought wrapping it would hide the smell at least a little.) For this to be her first christmas she sure knew what to do. So I guess we need bigger stockings or next time dont put them under the tree until its time to open them.

Lol I could never put Roscos presents that smell good under the tree, I will attempt to wrap a toy in secrecy and then put it under the tree and see how it works!
For now I have to put up with him sniffing the candy cane bone lol! ![]() he knows that he picked it out and he's probably thinking "why do I have to wait mom?! I picked it out! I want to chew it all up!!!" Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

My mom calls them babies too and when she moved out when I was 14 I got a boy dog and thought well this sounds weird saying "Go get your baby!" to a male dog lol!!! But Rosco loves any ole cheap stuffed animal i used to work at a kid fun birthday place and when i would find quarters i would llay the claw machine and i have a whole sack full of stuffed animals for him to rip lol. Yeah, i got him a jolly egg which is coming in the mail tmrrw yay, some kind of 'squeez stick' and I bought those Kong squeaker balls and Rosco LOVES them, (I had to give him one before Christmas bc he had cabin fever lol) he runs around the house squeaking the ball in his mouth! Hehe!!! My fiancé is going to think I spoil the dog too much, I bought Rosco more than him lol.

We wrap our pups presents every year and put them under the tree. It drives them crazy because you can tell they can smell all the goodies there waiting to be unwrapped. Our White GSD that passed a few years ago would lay in front of the tree for hours on end waiting til Christmas to open his pressies.... I miss him during this time of year especially...he really was like a young child waiting on Santa to come! I hope our brat pack get as much enjoyment from their first Christmas.

Sadie isn't too bad. But when SuzyQ was alive I had to hide her stuff in the closet. Even if I snuck it in there when she wasn't around, she knew there were goodies in there. I couldn't touch that bag without her running to the closet. I'd go in there and shut the door to wrap her presents and I would hear her whining and snuffling at the door - what silly kids.

They are so smart. Pheona knows the gifts I got them are in my closet. So every time I'm in there she'll run in & start poking her nose through bags looking. The other day my husband didn't shut the door the whole way & she nosed it open. She was busted looking through bags yet again.
