We took out the carpet and put down high end sheet vinyl in the den and hall.
Haven't looked back!

Aspen has scratched the sh*t out of my hardwood floors. When I win the lottery and build my dream home I'm going to have heated poured concrete floors!

thanks for the input everybody - I am thinking vinyl plank flooring may be the answer.

Ya, my dreams are big too. I'd opt for slate as opposed to concrete. Slate helps with my lizards nails so i would assume it would for a dogs nails as well. Its a bit easier on the feet too i would think.

We have hardwood in all rooms except the kitchen which is tile. The hardwood seems ok still but they are pups and their nails aren't long. I try to keep up with them, even if i clip one or two a day.
