Hello All,
I just noticed a small bump in between Bodie's toes. Its redish and doesnt seem to bother him. He doesnt seem to be licking at it. Its very soft and when you touch it, it feels like it could be popped Just wondering if anyone has come across this before and if it is anything to worry about. I dont believe our vet is open tomorrow due to the holiday and not sure I would to be bringing him to the emergency vet if its nothing to worry about. Appreciate any input and hope everyone has a great holiday.

I wouldnt go to the E-vet for that. Keep an eye on it and if it does pop, clean it with peroxide and keep it dry. If it gets any bigger or causes him discomfort then I would have your vet look at it.

I agree with Kari. Keep a close eye on it. I have never seen anything like that so I can't help with what it is. When i first started reading the thread, my first thought was a bug bite of some kind but it doesn't look like a bug bite. Keep us posted.

It looks kind of like an interdigital cyst. While not necessarily painful while small, they can get big and painful, so I would definitely watch it.
If he starts licking at it, or it becomes larger, you might want to have your vet check it out, and see what he/she says.

our boxer had multiple bumps on her feet when we got her at age 5.5 years. One was particularly large in size between her front toes. Testing showed it was mast cell tumors. These are easy to treat with surgery, unless they are on the feet. Our oncologist used a technique used in Romania called electro chemotherapy on all the bumps. it worked on the small ones but was ineffective on the large one. Wish the previous owner had cared enough to take her to this specialty vet as recommended by her normal vet when it was a reasonable size. Agree to watch it, but if it swells with activity or blunt force trauma ( land hard from a jump or something), I suggest testing, especially if it does not go away. It's not an emergency since mast cell tumors tend to be of the slower cancer variety.

Beautiful nails! No yeast infection there! Rosco has had a smaller one than that and I just treated it and it went away, I think his was more like a pimple or any bite or something...not painful. It doesn't look like a bite though so Good luck! Hope he gets better soon!

Thanks so much for all the replies!
So this morning when I took Bodie out, I noticed the bump had popped. Since it had already popped and I drained the rest of it and the bump went down and there was an open hole where it had popped. Since this was on his foot I was worried about it getting infected and I found out our vet was open today so I brought him in. It was indeed an interdigital cyst. They gave us some topical antibiotic and told us to watch it to make sure it heals ok. They let me know they can sometimes come back so keep an eye on it and if it does come back they would give us some oral antibiotics. Bodie handled putting on the topical meds great and is all ready for Christmas! Thanks again.
