Me: yeah... I would if she wasn't the perfect weight for her age and breed. Contrary to popular trends, sausage dogs are not healthy.

I think Abby looks perfect. Just love pet owners that think they know everything. We get pit bull a lot with Pheona & of course Murphy is a lab. There are days I look at Pheona & think she's big but then when she moves & stands another way she looks perfect.

I think she looks great! Boxers ARE supposed to be a lean breed, something lost on many people. They think the bigger the better, which is a shame. I have to bite my tongue every time I go to a pet store and see all the overweight dogs.

When I adopted Dempsey, I took him to my vet for a checkup and commented that maybe he could use a few more pounds, and my vet, a HUGE proponent of keeping dogs on the slim side, point blank told me to "leave him alone!" - lol!!

I get the other treatment,people often tell me "does he have a lil overweight problem?"

"Touch him,pet him well,tell me if he does,I am not sure" is my usual answer.

"oh my,you are a big tough boy are you" is their usual conclusion

She looks perfect and beautiful to me!! It's just ignorance about the breed, which was obvious from her first comment. I generally use those opportunities to educate people about boxers, which I'm sure is annoying but I'm ok with that. LOL

I still get people trying to tell me Daisy is too skinny and my favorite reply to that is telling them how my vet is thrilled with her weight and actually told me her body is "perfect" and that I should keep up the good work. Hee Hee, I love seeing reactions to that!!
