I've started blowing off people at the pet stores when we are out with the girls. Had someone comment the other night when we had the girls out on how cute our boxer & boston terrier was. Really??? My husband said no, she's a boxer and only when you get her in the right light do you see her reddish tones with her brindle stripes. The woman looked totally annoyed at my husband.

She looks great to me, too! Some people have no clue. One of my pet peeves is fat dogs but still, I don't go around telling people they need to feed their dog less or exercise it. *insert eye roll here*

I'm pretty lucky here on Long Island. Whenever I take mine to petco or the park(am way overdue for a dog park day) people all say my 2 look great. My area seems to be full of people that are aware of the proper build of the breed.

I have a story on the flip side of "too skinny". Gouda was always on the chunky side all her life. I know she should have been skinnier and my Vet let me know it every time we went for a check up etc. When Gouda was fighting cancer I was glad she had extra weight because usually dogs with cancer lose weight rapidly and sadly sometimes refuse to eat. Gouda never lost any weight during her cancer fight and i was thankful for that although it took a lot of work on my part finding the right home cooked diet and herbs/supplements.
Anyways I cant count how many people who saw Gouda during her time with cancer would say What a beautiful healthy looking dog her coat is so shiny and soft...but would end with you know she should lose some weight its not good for her. I said yes hard to tell she has cancer and her days are limited isnt it? They were usually shocked and had no idea but it always got them to shut up! lol

Abby looks gorgeous and i love her coat colouring- it is beautiful. It makes me laugh when people say boxers look like pitbulls- yeah maybe when they are puppy puppies.. or I can kind of tell with a white boxer (like Buddha)- but abby looks NOTHING like a pitt. Love to Abby!
