Our Tyson is just 1 week from turning 9 months, and tomorrow he goes in to be neutered :/ My mom is doing it, and she will take the best care of him that any Vet could. She is also letting me hold him before and after surgery and be a total part of the process, I just feel so bad for the poor guy. I want to do the best for him and I can't help but have cold feet on whether to wait til he's a full year old or not..... O well- I'm just a concerned mommy. He just had his "last supper" as a man hubby says. In the last week he has made it through a 24 hr car drive from Arizona to Iowa, 2 diff families houses, meeting little kids for the first time, which he loves!, -10 weather and 12 inches of snow when he's used to 60 degrees and no snow in Phoenix. He has done sooo well!!!! I've been soo impressed with him on our trip because I seriously cried and lost sleep as to how this trip would go. And he absolutely LOVES the snow- and frisbies as we've found out

Sorry for the late reply. Tyson came out of surgery beautifully! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I think it made me more emotional and hurt me more than it actually hurt him. Hubby and I got to watch the surgery, and I think that threw me over the edge a bit. Lol but he woke up great. Had some diarrhea last night, but much better today. Ate normal and wanted to play today. My mom said a cone was not necessary and he isn't licking the incision so that's a definite plus. My mom said he can have normal activity starting tomorrow so that helps us a lot!! As he is really figiting already to go run and play in the snow and it will help keep his swelling down. He is on pain med- Rimadyl for 3 days but is acting great. Also , which really makes me mad is we paid $80 to have numerous stool samples checked at home as we've been struggling w on and on loose poops the whole time we've had him. Finally got him turned around and on grain free bb for the last couple months but something still didn't seem right- well, yes he has giardia. Sooo mad at myself for trusting that Vet in Phoenix. And I pretty much feel like the worst mom ever for letting him go 9 mo with parasites. But I tried :/ o well- he will be on mend soon

Yay!!! I think the first night is the hardest. Especially for owners. I was so sad to see my baby in so much pain and completely out of it. Wyatt had to have two incisions bc of the undescended testicle. The incision he can reach but the normal one he can't really get to. All of his stitches are gone from the one incision but ALL are still intact with normal incision... Even after two baths!
