Happy & Sad Day for us all

Jolly(ABR name), our first foster went to his forever home on Friday after being with us for only 2 1/2 weeks. He now has a Daddy a Mommy & a boxer-mastiff mix brother. We managed to keep it together in front of his adopters but on the ride home we had 2 crying kids in the backseat & 2 crying grown ups in the front. He is an amazing dog!!! We'll miss you Jolly (now Zeus)!!!! Your family is very lucky!

Awww...So sorry, I think that will be the hardest part of fostering is saying good-bye. Will you be able to stay in touch with the family??

Excellent job Jill and family. Good for you. And it's ok to cry in front of the new adopters. I do it every time I let one go.

AF WX WIFE, They probably would have but I didn't ask. I was afraid to be pushy. Jolly was just our fist. I don't really know what's "acceptable" yet.

Yes, definitely. ABR has several in boarding. Those babies need a warm bed!!!

It is wonderful what u do for these dogs despite how hard it must be.

Jill, bittersweet, for sure. So glad your boy found a forever home so soon, but I'm sure you'll miss him! Get a new foster ASAP to fill the void!

I would of asked just to be updated. Maybe pictures a few times a year. The family we got Pheona from sends us text messages maybe 3-4 times a year just seeing how she was. Nice family but we still feel that she came from a puppy mill but can't prove anything. The family we got Murphy from asked to be kept up to date on her but I've heard nothing from her since I sent her a message letting her know about Murphy having demodex mange. I don't know if it's from embarrassment or what. It's not like I informed them out in public for everyone to see but instead I told them quietly. Maybe it's something they knew & just hoped for the best. I don't know. Either way, we have 2 beautiful babies that I would do anything for.
