OK...so I have a question about going potty. For those of you who don't handle talking about nasty things sorry. WARNING...LOL
So ever since Jaxon has been a puppy when he poops he turns in circles. And I don't mean like 1 360 degrees...Im talking about 2 or 3 turns WHILE pooping. Hes not flinging his poop...they are slow turns but still complete circles. At first I thought it was kinda funny, him being our first boxer and experiencing alot of new things like farts and snoring I just put it with "its a boxer thing" category. Then when we got Belah and she didn't do that...and my sister got her boxer and she doens't do that either...I started getting kinda un-easy about it. Is there a reason he would do that? Would his equilibrium be off? It only happens when he's doing the #2. What else could it be? or is it just a Jaxon thing? LOL |

Destiny used to back up and step in her poo when we first got her. We stopped that easy enough. While she was pooping and she started going backwards we always gently pulled her forward with the leash. She got the hang of it in less than a week and now she doesnt step back into her poop!

My Georgie does the "circle thing" when's she poops, too!!! I thought it was cute and a "puppy thing" when I first got her... She's now 10 months old and still does it! She doesn't do it as often, but she does the "hop" in circles... And she occasionally steps in it... Ugh!!
I just chalk it up as a boxer thing, but also a Georgie thing... Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Bruno steps in his at least 2-3 times a week. I write it off to his legs being too long for him and awkward right now since he's just coming up on 16 weeks. He does occasionally turn a bit but mostly just rocks back and forth from side to side lol. We get some fun moments though when he's apparently swallowed a bit of fuzz or hair from somewhere and that last bit just hangs there by it. It's really hard not to laugh as he starts spinning in circles and squatting trying to get rid of it.

My puppy did that when we brought her home. For the first week we had her I would just gently hold her still by placing one hand on each side of her. After a week of doing that she learned to stand still on her own. She's been with us three weeks now and doesn't turn circles anymore. Good luck!
