Hi
Ok, stupid question time!!!! I gave Ricki roast beef knuckle from the pet shop today to keep him occupied whilst I went out. Is it ok for him? It looks to me like the bones crumble, can he swallow them? I've just taken it all away from him just in case. Can any one help? Thanks Liz |

Stay away from these treats. Cooked bones are dangerous and can splinter. Feeding knuckles Raw is much safer.

I won't buy cooked knuckles from the pet stores because they tend to splinter. However, my local meat market sells slow smoked knuckles.. They never splinter, they crumble into small pieces..... I feel they are safe and give them, but they are the only cooked bone I'll give.
