So your going to go hug the dog and let it be best friends with you after it was going to kill you. An animal attracts to kill, not to be friends. And you want it to live a happy life.
So a guy kills somebody. You must be the one who wants him to live a full healthy life in jail instead of getting the death he/her deserves? Sorry man we have different views |

I just read on another thread you saying that you've bred over ten litters of boxers. That explains EVERYTHING.

So sorry about pepper. My boxers was attacked by an unleashed pit while I was walking him on a leash. Luckily he only had puncture marks too. The bet had us keep them open for several days and put hydrogen peroxide on them. Also have us a course of antibiotics. I got no cooperation from the police in citing the owner for off leash. I never blamed the dog. Owners fault 100%. The owner even refuses to pay our small bet bill or apologize. It was a principle thing with me. Luckily I am a lawyer and sent him a summons. Check arrived in 2 days. No apology though. I started carrying pepper spray when walking.

I am so sorry to hear about Pepper. That must have been so scary for both you and Pepper. I'm happy to have not seen Futures posting. I was very involved in rescuing pitbulls when the ban started in Ontario. Like all dogs they turn out how they were bred and raised. It's possible something about Pepper set him off. My sister was going to foster a pitbull, we took this dog for a walk and she seemed to not notice other dogs at all. Brought her home as she was a couple hours away and she was a great dog. We met my brother in law in a parking lot with my sisters dog.. Also a pit..and she changed. There was no way she was going to live in the same house with their dog. Luckily another foster was able to take her and she was adopted shortly after. Something made her snap. And I think this can happen to all dogs no matter what breed. I agree you need the problem to be dealt with as Pepper can't live in fear and shouldn't have to. The pits owners need to keep him leashed and under control. I hope you can get the problem fixed and I hope Pepper will be ok.

there would have been no problems here if the owner had kept his pit "ON A LEASH"...sheesh come on neighbour...
and to Future....as i have learned...responsible owners do leash their dogs even if they dont need to be. Its about having respect for other people and dogs and can potentially stop a situation such as this from happening....just sayin' |

Wow, What a needless and totally preventable event. I truly hope she has no negative reactions to other dogs now!

Wow, sorry to hear about pepper. I also own a pit and he is the best dog I have had in my life! It is about the owner and always having them on a leash. A lot of pits are dog aggressive if they haven't been around other dogs in their life. My Pitt loves our cat and my little terrier I have. I have had my boxer Isabel for a month and they are best friends. She is only 3 months old.
